2. NY Tech Day, April 24, 2014, Pier 92, New York City

On NY Tech Day over 400 companies will strut their stuff to thousands of visitors, investors and reporters. Exhibitors include tech startups from all over the world and across all industries. 3. Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, Worldwide

A popular holiday for consumer brands, expect social media channels to be packed with videos, messages and campaigns from marketers worshiping mothers, grandmothers or other maternal figure on Mother’s Day. #Mothersday is not the only hashtag to follow. 4. Cannes Film Festival, May 14-15, 2014, Cannes, France

Originally the International Film Festival was created on the initiative of Jean Zay, Minister for Education and Fine Arts, to establish an international cultural event in France to rival the Venice Film Festival – with success. Today The Cannes International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious and most publicized film festivals in the world. More than 1,500 films were shown in 2013 to a star-studded crowd.
5. Internet Week New York, May 19-25, 2014, New York

6. Northside Festival, June 12-19, 2014, Brooklyn

Dubbed the SXSW of Brooklyn, the Northside Festival is New York City’s largest and most accessible discovery festival. With hundreds of bands, entrepreneurs and filmmakers this event shows what’s next in the music, film and entrepreneur scene. The Expedition PR team will be around as well. 7. FIFA World Cup, June 12- July 13, 2014, Brazil

In June all eyes will be on Brazil when the FIFA World Cup 2014 kicks off. We can tell you what teams will be playing on June 12 for the FIFA World Cup 2014 opening game: Brazil and Croatia. But nobody can tell you which teams will in the finals on July 13, fighting to become the 20th World Cup Champion . With 3.2 billion people following the World Cup news coverage, the FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sport events worldwide. In comparison, the SuperBowl, the most watched sports event in the U.S., attracts about 110 million viewers. The World Cup is a tremendous marketing opportunity for global consumer and lifestyle brands worldwide. For many of those brands, the campaign planning already started three years ago.
